Swashplate

The swashplate consists of three pieces: The upper swashplate (E041), lower swashplate (E042) and a 6x10 bearing (E0610) which goes in between. These three pieces snap together, just like the pitch slider pieces and its bearing on the tail assembly, described above.

As with the tail pitch slider assembly however, the swashplate has a tendency to fall apart as well - again, usually in-flight, and with disastrous consequences.

To prevent this from happening, it is highly recommended that the inner and outer parts of the bearing be glued to the upper and lower parts of the swashplate. Use the same epoxy procedure for doing so, as described above in Tail Shaft Bearing, Part 2.
